Happy anniversary, Oxygen, 4 years!
Oxygen Association turns four years of defining mountain experiences. With this occasion, on 9th-11th of October, it challenges you to an unseen and unheard before competition.
The competition takes place at Piatra Mare Massif, Dâmbu Morii, Brașov County.
The accommodation is at Ezio House, Timișu de Jos.
Those who have experienced mountain with us and want to celebrate Oxygen anniversary together are invited to an Oxygenotherapy session with some exciting trials
Oxygen fans, in groups of 3 to 5 persons, are to pass the following trials:
- Regularity trail: Dâmbu Morii – Cabana Bunloc – Culmea Arsă – Peștera de Gheață – Poiana Baciului – Drumul familiar – Dâmbu Morii
Time: 6-7 hours
While trekking, the team has to create a photographic project formed out of 6 photos, on a free topic in order to promote Romanian beauty. This project is part of the culture trial.
This trial is scored in accordance to each team’s running time of the whole trail.
Mandatory equipment: boots, rucksack, 1 litre water container, knife, compass, headlamp, whistle, raincoat, matches (waterproof matches), first aid kit.
!!! The lack of one the above-mentioned articles may bring penalties on the team or even the incapacity to go on the trail.
- Escalade
The escalade rock is on the trail described above. Two member of a team (one boy and one girl) will participate at this trial. The score reflects time and distance.
- Theoretical tests
25 multiple-choice tests to be answered in maximum 25 minutes covering the region’s geography, mountaineering elements, weather, first aid, flora and fauna. Bibliography: soon.
- Orienteering
Two member of a team (one boy and one girl) will participate at this trial. The score reflects best time. Time limit: 15 minute. The trial will take place at the end of the mountain trail.
- Culture and artistic test
An improvised sketch based on some notes with different utterances. The notes will be extracted at the beginning of the trail. (5 minutes maximum)
The photographic project presentation (3 minutes maximum)
Poem intonation, vocal and/or instrumental performance, dance and other talents that you think that brings the best in you. (5 minutes maximum)
PARTICIPATION TO THE COMPETITION IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND KNOWLEDGE!!!
The competition is exclusively for those that have been with Oxygen on mountains. Participation is determined by 10 lei fee per person until 30th of September.

06:00 Contestants gathering
06:10 – 07:20 Theoretical tests: maximum 25 minutes/team. Sequence time: every 5 minutes. Team entrance in the competition will be established at the technical meeting.
06:35 – 07:20 Regularity trail start. Teams receive trail maps, directions of escalade rock and will extract the note for their improvised sketch.
14:00 – 15:00 Arrival of teams from the trail
14:00 – 15:40 Orienteering test according to teams arrival time.
16:00 – 17:30 Break: meal, shower, etc.
17:30 – 20:00 Cultural and artistic test
20:00 Happy 4th anniversary, Oxygeeen! Festivity and party.
Sunday, 11th of October
10:00 Branch and a beer for big heads
12:00 Check-out. Fun activities outdoors.
